As of January 2022, the key legislation impacting the scaffolding industry in the UK includes:

  1. Work at Height Regulations 2005:
    • These regulations emphasize the importance of assessing and managing the risks associated with working at height, which is often relevant to the use of scaffolding.
  2. Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM):
    • CDM regulations focus on health and safety throughout all phases of construction projects. They impose duties on various parties involved in construction, including those using or providing scaffolding.
  3. Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974:
